Biography of Neymar Jr.
Born on February 5, 1992, Neymar da Silva Santos Junior, nicknamed Neymar Jr. or Neymar, is a Brazilian footballer playing as forward for Brazil National Team and Paris Saint-Germain French football club.
He earned huge popularity since his teens at Santos. He made his professional debut in football career when he was 17. With two Campeonato Paulista successful championships, he helped the club win in the 2011 Copa Libertadores, the first continental title of Santos since 1963, and a Copa Do Brasil.
He got the South American Footballer of the Year title two times in 2011 and 2012 before he joined Barcelona and moved to Europe. As part of attacking trio of Barca with Luis Suarez and Lionel Messi, he became the winner of La Liga, the UEFA Champions League, and the Copa del Rey, a continental trio in the 2014-15 season, after the next year with a domestic double. He was third runner-up for FIFA Ballon d’Or 2015. He moved to Paris Saint-Germain from Barcelona in a transaction of €222 million in August 2017 and became the most expensive player in the world.

Born in Mogi das Cruzes, Sao Paulo, Neymar da Silva Santos Junior is the son of Neymar Santos, Sr. and his mother is Nadine da Silva. On commenting on his father, Neymar says, “My father has always supported me since I was child. In 2003, Neymar moved to Sao Vicente with his family where he started playing for Portuguesa Santista youth side. Later in that year, he moved to Santos with family where he joined the club Santos FC.  With his added income and successful youth career, the family owned their first house located next to Vila Belmiro. At the age of 15, he improved his family’s lifestyle by making up to 10,000 reais per month, which accounted to 16,125,000 reais per month. Neymar has made his debut in senior team for Santos FC in 2009 and he became the leading goal scorer over the next couple of years for his team. He scored 54 goals in total in 103 matches for the club and he was being courted by the biggest European clubs during the time at the club. Real Madrid academy accepted him at the age of 14 but he stayed the way back with FC Santos when he was offered a better salary by the club.
